Bresslergroup, an insight-driven product design and development firm, needed to preserve the SEO value of www.bresslergroup.com and troubleshoot the issues of having five separate branded websites. Accompanying an inhouse site redesign, we created a complete site migration strategy. This included keyword research and mapping, content recommendations, navigation recommendations and a 301 redirect roadmap.
We identified multiple Bresslergroup brand websites that were hindering SEO performance. Merging these sites would allow one website to focus all of the incoming link value.
We designed a more comprehensive redirect strategy for five sites (and a blog subdomain) to funnel the existing link value appropriately.
There was a parallel need for a site redesign, which aimed to cut content in favor of a more streamlined user experience. We consulted on every step of the redesign from URL structure, keyword mapping, blog tagging structure. Our goal was to preserve the high rankings the site already had for key industry terms like “product design firm”.
After successfully migrating all five domains into a single, newly redesigned website, www.bresslergroup.com experienced 42% more organic traffic and a 35% increase in leads. We successfully preserved SEO value through a large change over and saw improvements to rankings and traffic.
