BrainDo seeks a senior JavaScript developer with experience in app development.

BrainDo works with enterprise-level clients to build and maintain all aspects of their digital footprint. We are expanding our development team to scale our abilities in developing and maintaining web and mobile applications, and we are looking for a skilled JavaScript developer to help us grow. Our ideal candidate has several years of experience in development, knows JavaScript well and has worked with React or similar frameworks, and has the ability to lead and help architect complex applications/projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the design and development teams to create, manage, and produce quality client applications on the web and mobile devices.
• Create and maintain mobile and web applications using React and React Native.
• Follow best practices for writing and documenting code.
• Review and provide feedback on code developed by other team members.

Required Skills

• 3 years’ experience with JavaScript (ES6+)
• 3 years’ experience producing applications for web or mobile using JavaScript and/or a JavaScript library such as React, React Native, Vue, Angular, etc.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented or functional programing concepts.
• Strong understanding of version control using git or similar version control system.
• Strong ability to maintain (and scale) complex code bases.
• Ability to integrate APIs.

Bonus Points

• Experience developing mobile and companion web applications for iOS and Android using React and React Native.
• Familiarity with developing native mobile applications for iOS and Android using Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java respectively.
• Strong understanding and experience with functional programming.
• Experience with test-driven development (unit testing, functional testing, integration testing).
• Experience using Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with analytics implementations. Analytics is a core foundation of our business, though not directly needed for this role, an interest in analytics is helpful!
